Generic Information
All Shuttles going to James Kipp Recreation from Coal Banks and Fort Benton will be pre-stationed at our warehouse location
Vehicle breakdowns cost us time, money and ultimately affect our shuttle fees. They will also cost you. When breakdowns or delays cause a number of shuttle drivers to be detained, we will pass that charge onto you to cover those expenses
Before you leave for your river trip, make sure your vehicle is mechanically sound. Check lights, fluids, belts, and tires. You will be charged an additional fee to bring fluids to a safe level.
If we find your vehicle not drivable due to vehicle condition, safe travel speeds, bad tires, etc. we will not drive it and will be there at the takeout to pick you up the day you get off between 12-12:30. You will pay for drivers’ time and a van shuttle
Rental Cars
We DO NOT drive third party vehicles
Trailers
We do not charge extra to shuttle trailers, but trailers must be able to travel safely at normal road speeds (65 MPH on highway and 35 MPH gravel)
Trailer hitch and ball must be the correct size and the hitch must be attached securely. The hitch must be appropriate for the weight and size of the trailer. You must have safety chains and trailer lights must work.
Trailers must have a spare tire that is attached securely. If the trailer spare or hitch is locked, be sure to leave us a key.
Do not leave garbage or loose items in trailer or back of truck.
Vehicle Check-In/ Key Drops
The ONLY location to drop keys is at our storefront in Fort Benton. If it is after hours, you must put keys in an envelope and label them.
We encourage all groups to stop in Fort Benton. If this is not possible we ask you let us know well in advance so that we can set you up accordingly.
